About The Artist

My name is Gentry Scott, and I am a wildlife and Western oil painter based in Utah Valley. The outdoors has shaped who I am for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Utah, I spent countless days exploring the mountains, forests, and open country with my family through camping, hiking, hunting, and simply enjoying the beauty of the West. Those experiences instilled in me a deep appreciation for wildlife, wild places, and the stories they hold.

Art has always been my calling. From an early age, I found myself drawn to drawing and painting animals, landscapes, and the natural world around me. Although I explored many different mediums throughout my youth, it was oil painting that truly captured my heart. Over the years, I have continued to develop my skills through self-study, workshops, and a commitment to lifelong learning, always striving to create work that is both meaningful and authentic.

Today, my life looks a little different than it did when I first picked up a paintbrush. As a wife and mother of two, my family has become one of my greatest sources of inspiration. Watching my children discover the world around them has given me an even greater appreciation for God's creations and the simple moments that often go unnoticed. While this season of life may be busy, my love for the outdoors and wildlife remains as strong as ever, and I look forward to sharing those experiences with my family for years to come.

Through my artwork, I strive to capture the beauty, character, and spirit of wildlife and the Western way of life. My goal is to create pieces that inspire a sense of connection, wonder, and appreciation for the natural world.
