Thank you so much for being here and for your interest in a commissioned piece. Creating meaningful, one-of-a-kind artwork is something I truly value. I feel incredibly honored anytime someone trusts me to bring their vision to life, and I would love the opportunity to do that for you. Let's get started!
Getting Started
To begin the process, please reach out to me via email at gentry@gswildlifeandfineart.com with the following details:
• Subject or idea for the painting.
• Preferred canvas size (if known).
• Any reference photos you’d like me to use.
• Additional details or elements you’d like to be included.
From there, I’ll work with you to better understand your vision and guide you through the next steps.
The Process
Most commissioned pieces begin with one or more photo references. These can be your own photos or images used for inspiration. If needed, I may also pull from additional references to create a stronger composition.
If you’d like to include specific elements (such as additional animals, landscape changes, or combining multiple references), I’m happy to incorporate those into the piece.
I will work closely with you to ensure the overall composition is something you feel satisfied about before I begin painting.
Pricing
Commissioned Originals are priced based on size and level of detail. My current rate is $5–$7 per square inch, depending on complexity. Once I have a clear understanding of your vision, I will provide a detailed quote.
Timeline
Each piece is created with care and attention to detail. Timelines can vary depending on size, complexity, and current workload. If you have a specific timeframe in mind, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate when possible.
Payment
A 50% deposit is required to begin your commission, with the remaining balance due upon completion prior to delivery or shipment. Invoices will be sent digitally for your convenience.
